The Wine Institute study on export trends found that U.S. Wine Exports surpassed $1 Billion in 2008, growing 6% from 2007, and was comprised of 95% California wines. About half of U.S. wine exports are shipped to the European Union, accounting for $486 million, followed by Canada, $260 Million; Japan, $61 Million; Hong Kong, $26 million; and Mexico, $23 Million – all destinations covered by New Vine’s Export Service.
